Your perceptions, precede your actions.

My perception of a situation, a person, a product or even service will always guide my actions or inaction towards it. Your perceptions always precede your actions, and your actions determine your results. Thus, if you are not happy with the results you get, then I suggest you stop and think a bit. See how your perceptions are driving your actions or inaction. I have procrastinated many times, thinking it is something bad in me I should fix, but when I spent time on it I found it was a perception of the situation that drove my inaction. I saw more drawbacks by taking action and more benefits to me not taking action. That was the driver of my procrastination. When I shifted my perception to seeing more benefits, my procrastination all but disappeared. Look at your diary today, question the perceptions you have of each person, situation and business deal you will be working with or on today. Ask yourself, is this perception driving action in the right direction, or driving inaction leading to you missing your goals?
