Do you want 3 months more time every year? | Willem Gous

Do you want 3 months more time every year?

Do you want 3 months more time every year?

Do you want 3 months more time every year?

What would your life, your career or your business look like if you had an extra 3 months more time available every year? What would your finances look like? I have been applying this to my own life for more than 9 years and that is why I surpassed that magical 10,000 hours on my personal development journey. Now I use that knowledge to make money as an advisor to world leaders in business, government and philanthropy with my life design processes. My vacation and my vocation is aligned!

The simple trick

Wake up earlier and get 3 months more timeI ask most people that I meet what time they wake up and I found the average time being around 06:00 in the morning. For almost 10 years now I have been getting up at 04:00 every morning, 7 days a week. So let’s do the math:

2 hours per day x 365 days = 730 hours

730 hours / 8 (a work day is 8 hours) = 91,25 work days

91,25 work days / 30 = 3 months more time

What this means

Do yourself a favour and take the time to look at this example:

Tom gets up at 04:00 every morning, 7 days a week.

Dick gets up at 06:00 every morning, 7 days a week.

Result: Tom has the equivalent of working an extra 8 hours a day for 7 days a week for 3 months.

Who do you think is going to win this race? Who do you think will reach their goals?

The great warning you MUST read

Don’t use this extra time to catch up on work. Work will always be there. Fill this time with the things and actions you need to move forward in life. Do what you need to do to grow and change your thinking. This is the time where you do YOUR personal, developmental work. You can  read, write and study to expand your mind and understanding of what you have learnt up to now. Use this time to determine what you need to do in order to get going on this journey. What do you need to learn or become to reach your goals in life?

It this too extreme? Should sleep be avoided?

I avoid statements such as “sleep when you’re dead” and “sleep is for the weak,” because sleep is important. I don’t sleep with an alarm clock and wake up when by body finished resting. Thus I wake up anything from 02:00 to 04:30. I function on 6 hours of sleep per day. That is what my body tells me I need. Read the scary warning at the end of the article if you don’t want to give up any sleep.

What’s the effect of waking up 1 hour earlier?

1 hour per day x 365 days = 365 hours

365 hours / 8 (a work day is 8 hours) = 45 work days

45 work days / 30 = 1,5 month more time

What’s the effect of waking up 30 minutes earlier?

0,5 hour per day x 365 days = 182,5 hours

182,5 hours / 8 (a work day is 8 hours) = 22 work days

22 work days / 30 = 0,76 month more time – almost a full month

Let me scare your pants off – This is real and should be paid attention to

I am South African and a study this year showed that the average South African adult watches 5 hours of television per day. Yep, you read right. That is 5 HOURS PER DAY. If you watch 1 hour of TV per day, you will get another 4 hours per day to play with your kids, spend time with the ones you Iove and even have more time to read or do something you like. So, now all of a sudden you have 9 months more time compared to the average Joe. Damn! This is exciting! You have much more time to reach your goals and work towards a successful future. You can have a much brighter future, because when you take control of your time, you will be so much more productive. Keep in mind, more time means more time for focus, not more time for more work.

Remember, if you don’t take control of your own life, someone else will take control of your life for you. That goes for employed people and business owners. Now go out and reach your damn goals, when you reach your goals the world wins with you.
